A genetically modified variety of corn remains approved for use in Australia, despite the withdrawal of applications for approval in Europe and serious concerns about its assessment raised by a New Zealand university research team.

Crop breeders have been crossing and mutating the genetics of our foods for decades now – genetically, some of this stuff is really brutal, radical stuff – but no-one is regulating those foods like GM. If you want to panic about food, panic about junk and fast food.
