15 July 2021. 12pm AEST
The Australian environment is in crisis.
Crikey‘s Amber Schultz was joined by environmentalist, writer and researcher Robyn Gulliver, writer, editor and former professor Jill L. Ferguson, and climate advocate and volunteer Jan McNicol.
They discussed their latest book The Advocates: Women within the Australian Environmental Movement and shared their stories behind their personal efforts on fighting climate change apathy.
The hot topics included making a difference through shareholder activism, population growth and sustainable living, and the importance of personal accountability when it comes to the environment.
For further insights, take a look at Amber’s follow up article – Crikey Talks: Addressing climate change isn’t simple, but there are solutions.
