On political donations and disclosure

Bushby Jane writes: Re. “Mayne: stand by for annual political donations reveal on Thursday” (Tuesday)

The liberal party in Tasmania have been advertising/campaigning for ages now, and only just announced the date of the election. Who has been paying for this “pre-advertising”? I suspect that,  given the strategy, and the party, that it may be us taxpayers.

It is ironic that Clive Palmer’s now defunct Palmer United Party of was the only Party who has ever had complete disclosure – even to the extent of a two dollar cup of coffee.
