Nine’s night overwhelmingly in the metros. The Block Glasshouse was tops in metros and nationally, and second behind The X Factor in the regions — which didn’t do well in the metros. The Block had 1.850 million national/ 1.280 million metro/ 570,000 regional viewers while The X Factor’s results episode had 1.653 million national/ 1.077 million metro/ 576,000 regional viewers. A clear win for Nine’s predictable program. It’s not that The X Factor’s number are weak — they are solid enough to encourage Seven — but because they are not up to last year’s smash hit levels, they are discouraging for Seven.
