I cant help but feel that the answer to all the issues raised in todays cartoon has something to do with beer.

On a related topic – can anyone explain chicken salt to me?

Andybob – how right you are, but it is getting on for martini o’clock.

Damn, it is time! JD single malt, or scotch single malt, is the question.

My fridge light is quantum, Plonk. It exists in a flux of being both on and off, and only resolves into being on when you open it. On that subject, has anyone seen what happens to a LED when you take it down to near O Kelvin?

MS: Haven’t seen an LED at zero K, but they get a bit dimmer at -30 C @6000m. Do they superconduct, explode or turn into Schrodinger’s superposed moggy?

Smithy, is that Schroedinger’s Fridge, or Plonk’s Cat ?

    Or Smithy’s unserpenty, principle ?

Plonk, and Zut, there’s an update on George at the dot at the Pig’s Arms. The Vet is holding him hostage until First Mate and I get his Ferrari out of repossession (the vet’s car – George drives a hard bargain).

Firsty, I forgot to warn you to avoid coleslaw at all costs.

Unleashed published the seminal paper on “Why Does Coleslaw Exist” back in 2009 when they were worth visiting.

Find it at Wcubed dot abc dot net dot au/unleashed/38246.html

MJ, thanks for the update. Have you considered moving George to a suite at the Park Hyatt for a few days attended by a private veterinary nurse? It may prove cheaper than on site at the vet’s.

    MJ.
Vets & Dentists & public health bean counters must go to the same school of failed medical students; where the fine art of separating people from their life savings by emotional blackmail and extortion are offered at the Doctorate level.
By way of example; the cost of a transfer from a hospital I know west of the mountains, to the large referral hospital near Parramatta by ambulance exceeds $3000. To hire a stretch limousine with the work,s and hire two pneumatic mens health “professionals”, dressed in nurses uniforms, as escorts, to do the same trip was one quarter the cost of the ambulance. Take Zuts tip and get George a “professional”.
