The last time a Batman movie hit cinemas, conservative US commentators claimed it argued in favour of George Bush’s stance on the war on terrorism. This time US shock jock Rush Limbaugh has slammed The Dark Knight Rises as anti-Mitt Romney propaganda, because it’s villain (created in comic books in 1993) has the same sounding name as one of Romney’s old companies.

And Rush rhymes with Bush, and you’re obviously a villain, so what’s your point?
Limbaugh has obviously stopped taking his anti-psychosis medication!
We need to know what this guy is on and warn the world – I am worried about my kids.
The name ‘Bane’ dates from Batman comics in the 90’s, as Rush would know if he’d Google’d it, which I’m sure he or his staff must have done. Typical of right wing media types, he’s making stuff up to support his agenda.
I don’t get right-wingers. I wouldn’t want to listen to angry voices shouting over the radio as I had breakfast and got ready for work, even if they said stuff I agreed with. Do they enjoy being angry? Strange. Anger is bad for the soul (and for digestion and sleep).
Anyway, how many of Rush’s listeners know what ‘homonymous’ means? They probably think he’s accusing someone of being gay.
He’s lost a lot of weight after “quitting” his oxycodin addiction – hope it’s nothing trivial.
