    Chocolate Malted Muse

I do not like their kind or ilk
That f*cketh round with lovely milk
Take out a little bit of this
Put in some more of this and that
No longer fit for dog or cat

But mucking round with milk could start
By removing stuff that makes us fart
Instead of stuff that makes C*les dough
    By screwing farmers
    Make it so !

I thought that stuff was called “whey”. But of course permeate sounds evilerer and hasn’t been promoted by one Ms Muffet & co.

I always like your cartoons so much and thought your were nice and liked that I felt like I belonged to a small but worthy club of Aussie non-bogans (bogans, HA HA HA) when I read your captions.

But now you’re asking us to consider our own ignorance and the suffering created by our every day decisions?

It is natural for humans to drink milk.
    Milk has calcium in it.
I drink milk from organically raised cows (because I’m sure they and their calves get treated differently at the abbatoir).
I love milk it is one of the few pleasures I have in life.
Not giving kids milk is child abuse.
The extremists are trying to take my milk away.
You are being a hypocrite, somehow, and sanctimonious.
    DON’T JUDGE ME!!
You are the one causing harm to cows, if you don’t drink their milk. Somehow.
    You are an extremist.

I feel betrayed. How DARE you.

As I sip my Almond B***ze. V*** S** from the fridge section of the supermarket (not UHT) is best for hot beverages though.

Hey First Dog, can your next cartoon be about breast-feeding? I reckon that would just go off- all B8lt’s bereft trolls would be on it in a trice.

Mr Pigeon – it’s not natural for adult humans to drink milk, especially not cow milk. The products of milk which have been cooked or matured are a different matter altogether.

    And another thing(s):

I grew up on a dairy farm* and many of my relatives are still dairy farmers. I’m OFFENDED. And I know alot more about cows than you do.

I can’t possibly not drink dairy milk and continue to do everything that I do to valiantly fight human rights abuses. The non-dairy milks are like a step away from the dairy milks in the supermarket. That’s a step too far.

In some other countries, malnourished people eat dairy products, and if they didn’t they’d be even more malnourished. So there. Australians should all eat dairy products.

Insert here: random unrelated facts about dairy products that I assume other people are unfamiliar with. Because they are idiots. Because they are not me and because they don’t drink dairy milk.

    * Actually not true. I grew up on two dairy farms

Milk is bad, it has 4% fat in it. Permeate is another item in our lives that I probably won’t notice.

Tried the soy alternative, but it was just…. wrong.

I did know about the calves, the milk and the permeate. I just didn’t see what the big deal is, considering we, as a society, have been (or not, as lactose intolerance dictates) drinking milk, squirted out of a cow for many, many years.

FD, I actually thought that today’s cartoon would be about the “well received” TV show that aired last night and gave us the best twitter comment for the year to date. Peter Helliar nailed it. Then I realised that it was oh, too easy to parody them.
