Horizontal line #2,panel #2: Balance disturbance (falling off horses) – I am concerned that the horse showed more concern than Sophie Mirabella shows concern.
Finally! A cartoon that the ABC producer of “Talking Pictures” can’t refuse.
Although next week’s segment might have to be extended to ten mins.
(Just so they can recite all this toony goodness.)
I’ve met people affected by wind turbines. They are ordinary Australians, most of whom supported the turbines being built. They are now sick, but instead of help identifying what it is that is making them ill the developers and paid consultants like Simon Chapman prefer to shoot the messenger. Whatever fun might be had from the above should not mask the fact that people are abandoning their properties to recover their health.
I have read very worthwhile comments on Crikey about prejudice against refugees not surviving actual contact with the people involved. The same is true of people affected by wind farms. When you meet them such people are not crazy coal worshipping climate change deniers. They come from all walks of rural life. I would urge anyone genuinely interested in the issue not to accept pre-digested opinion about it, but to seek out and talk to the people affected and listen to what they have to say.
I know some people who would feel hurt and abandoned by having fun poked at health issues that have either compelled them to leave their homes or from which they feel they cannot escape. I would tell them not to be disheartened. People are listening.
Eureka!!
I have the antidote for all those who are suffering wind turbine sickness. It should be taken regularly and in as large a dose as possible, before, after and during meals. The antidote is money. I have found that nobody who has been paid a significant sum of money to have a wind turbine within their area of vision are suffering any distress whatsoever. This terrible ailments are suffered only by those who have not received any financial benefit.
Klewso. Correct – except they all turn the other way in the northern hemisphere and they turn both ways on the equator, but only on the equinox days. Nobody knows what they do at night. Maybe all go down the pub and slosh down a few or over to the airport to do some plane spotting.
Firsty, I notice that the only thing that Wind turbines don’t seem to give you ….. is wind …… cue fart joke epidemic.

July 3, 2012 at 2:43 pmHerpes? Herpes? Are the wind turbines consenting to whatever it is a person has to do to them in order to contract herpes? From a wind turbine?

July 3, 2012 at 3:04 pmHmmmm apparently wind turbines make whales cry. Nothing sadder than seeing a whale blubber (boom tish)
