Today’s cartoon says it all. Politics in Australia today is really just an episode of reverse cycle Annie Oakley – anything you can do, we can do worse!
Zut, hansons and ruddocks are different kinds of measurements, but they are often used together. Ruddocks measure acid toxicity and hansons are essentially units of density. Here’s an example.
It would take 0.272 ruddocks to burn through a standard 4.4 hanson mining magnate – by lunchtime, at sea level on a fine day with a following wind. More for a magna magnate. Lots more if the magnate in question is using mylanta.
Andrew L, very good ! And topical too since the boys (now really men, I guess) are about to appear at the Enmore. Why, they are appearing at the Enmore, I have no idea.
As an aside to all of you that tick ‘follow up comments via email’ – its an idea to periodically click the link to manage these – I had 1500 of the mongrels. Have a bit of mercy on Crikey’s website.
To Crikey, might I suggest that you age them and automatically remove after a week or so. There’s some particularly toxic threads that would benefit from early curtailment.
Love the ‘Hiss of middle class privilege.’ Ditto the coinage of Hansons. How on earth to calculate the equation?????? As in how many Hansons would the whole Coalition be worth?

June 28, 2012 at 2:48 pmDoes anyone know how many Ruddock units there are per Hanson? It’s so confusing converting from our traditional British Imperial system.
