Basketball fans will be still rolling around in what was truly a fantastic NBA finals event. The Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat 4-2 in the series, sealing their first ever NBA championship by beating the Heat 105-95 yesterday.
As an avid newspaper lover, I always look forward to how the local newspapers depict the polar fortunes of its respective teams.
And when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for Miami Heat fans, the Miami Herald today rubbed salt into the wounds. Courtesy of the Miami New Times:
As if reading the sports section didn’t suck enough for Heat fans this morning, Miami Herald readers opened the paper to find a nearly full-page ad reading, “Congratulations Miami!” next to photos of Heat championship T-shirts and hats sold at Macy’s. (“Raise Another Banner” — ughhhhh.)
Well it could be worse, you could be LeBron James…
