Crikey is seeking a champion for a new project. We’re looking for a senior journalist with a fat contacts list, a keen understanding of the top end of town and a wealth of talent and initiative to drive a multi-media product from conception.

Working as the leader of a small independent unit, you will be responsible for managing the editorial output of a new rolling feature under the Crikey brand. You have experience in the online environment and a distinct vision of commercial new media publishing. And you get Crikey: the ever-changing business environment, staunch ethos, unique voice and astute readership.

You also:

  • Ask the right questions of the right people; comfortable dealing with the powerful and their minders.
  • Have a sharp writing ability; able to produce compelling copy quickly and accurately for a discerning audience.
  • Are resourceful and highly efficient with exceptional organisational skills; experienced in managing projects and/or teams to tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Have the ability to not only publish but promote; using social and traditional media channels to reach new audiences for the Crikey brand.
