Personal emails for public MPs. Some NSW Nationals MPs seem not to have got the message that parliamentary resources aren’t to be used for election campaigning. The NSWEC website reveals some MPs have used their parliamentary email addresses as public contact points for their candidacy on their nomination forms for this month’s election…

Old boy Abbott for breakfast. Invites have gone out among the Old Ignatians’ Union of ex-students for a breakfast with a fellow “old boy”, Tony Abbott. The opposition leader will front up on March 29 at the Union University and School Club. “Men must wear coat and tie.”

The bank app that’s not an app. The Commonwealth Bank has (finally) provided a Netbank Andriod app. Except it’s just a bookmark, worse than just using the Netbank website. It’s a quick and dirty fix which is backfiring badly on Andriod Market if you read the ratings and comments — one-star ratings interspersed by some strange praise. “Very good and easy to use!” said ‘Casey’. And ‘Ryan’ from last week: “Finally netbank app, stop bank bashing people seriously they are trying to make life easier maybe give some constructive feedback to help improve it!” Wouldn’t be CBA staff, by any chance…?
