First Dog On The Moon
Mar 02, 2011
Excuse me. I left my reply around here somewhere, but it appears someone’s taken it.
It was blue.
After traipsing up and down the beach and rummaging through the rubbish bins for bottles, it was Choo-Choo bars, Black Cat bubble gum and Redskins for me.
We used to roll our beach towels along the top like a doughnut and wear them on our heads like an arab akaru.
Our local general store/milkbar/newsagent used to let us buy firecrackers with ours. You tell the young people of today that! Political correctness gone mad!
(Sorry,I just put a dollar in the cliché jar)
our’s used to sell us cigs Stevo but the fun police have stop that childhood right of passage two.
back to halfa for you too Buzz?
I used to live next door to a soft drink factory with…err…um…a hole in the fence. There was a yard full of empty bottles and a milk bar around the corner. These days you’d call it perpetual motion. In those days we called it free freddo frogs!!! 😀
