Iliotibial band on the run ? My guess is Iliotibial Wings.
Oh Mike Jones, now you’ve done it. What you call a dog with Wings?
Why must First Dog be exhorted to run up hills? Dogs’ preferred exercise is to chase their tails…and it’s much safer (albeit the scenery can be repetitive).
From Wikipedia (so it must be right):
Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS or ITBFS, for iliotibial band friction syndrome) is a common injury to the thigh, generally associated with running, cycling, hiking or weight-lifting (especially squats).
ITBS can result from one or more of the following training habits, anatomical abnormalities, or muscular imbalances:
– Excessive up-hill and down-hill running
– Inadequate warm-up or cool-down
– Doing other foolish sh*t (I added this bit to trim the long list)
Good grief FD!
That Iliotibial band is obviously as useless as tits on a cartoonist. 😛
