The RNC, delayed by Hurrican Gustav, kicked off this morning Aussie time, with video speeches by four Governors in hurricane-affected areas, and addressed by Laura Bush and Cindy McCain.
The first day of the RNC was a literal washout – postponed due to Hurrican Gustav. But it’s been business as usual today, with addresses by First Lady Laura Bush as well as prospective First Lady Cindy McCain. Excerpts from their speeches were posted on the RNC official website here.
The RNC also heard video speeches made by the Governors of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida – four states affected by Gustav. Excerpts from their speeches were posted on the RNC official website here.
