McCain Campaign to Return 50K in Donations. John McCain’s campaign says it is returning tens of thousands of dollars in contributions solicited by a foreign citizen. — ABC News

Who Is Bush to Lecture China? There he was in Thailand, pressing China to uphold human rights when he has done more than any other President to heap scorn on them. After 9/11, he said, “I don’t care what the international lawyers say. We’re going to kick some ass.” — Progressive

Evangelicals Up For Grabs? Candidates Court Voters. This year, there’s been a role reversal in the competition for those voters. Now, it’s the Democrat who is comfortable quoting Scripture and talking openly about his beliefs. — NPR

Man Charged With Threatening to Kill Obama. Raymond Hunter Geisel, a 22-year-old aspiring bail bondsmen, is in custody for allegedly saying of Barack Obama, “If he gets elected, I’ll assassinate him myself.” Geisel soon made matters worse for himself, reportedly joking to a Secret Service agent that “if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he simply would shoot him with a sniper rifle.” — Truth Dig
