Does Lachlan Murdoch have has eyes fixed on acquiring some industry newsletters? Maybe taking them from print to online?

From an alert Crikey reader in Scotland: I was surprised to see Age editor Andrew Jaspan’s visage appear on Newsnight Scotland this week, commenting on a few local controversies. Apart from the obvious question – what qualification does an Englishman who edits an Australian paper have to comment on Scots matters – one also wonders what Jazza is doing in this part of the world and whether it is entirely coincidental that his jaunting just as the interview process for the editor’s job at The Scotsman kicks off?
