And still they come! There’s another poor
poll for the Government, this time from Roy Morgan Research. The Government’s primary support has
remained stuck on 42% over the past fortnight – 4.4 points below the
2004 election showing – while Labor support is up 0.5 of a per cent to 41.
The two party preferred vote splits Labor
way. They lead the Government 51.5 to 48.5%.
Still, a significant majority voters
believe the Coalition remain the election favourites – even if their numbers
are dropping. 64.5% (down 5.5%) think the Coalition will win,
22% (up two points) think Labor are the favourites, while 13.5% (up 3.5 points) can’t say.
