Crikey editor Misha Ketchell writes:
The 2006 centenary edition of Who’s Who has just
landed in the office and it’s stuffed with the usual names, CVs and
club memberships of judges, politicians, barristers, members of
military, captains of industry and… Crikey founder Stephen Mayne.
So what’s a corporate trouble-maker like Mayne doing in Who’s
Who? Who’s Who’s a Crikey advertiser, so it’s not too hard to put
two and two together and come up with a cosy deal for preferential treatment.
For the record Stephen denies all allegations, and we reckon his inclusion is fair enough, especially after
last year he finally won an election and took the reigns as president
of his local kinder.
