Oil hits new highs on struggling greenback

A falling US dollar has driven oil above $US90 a barrel in after hours trading in Asia this morning, the first time it has reached that level, reports Glenn Dyer.

Overnight the US Fed left interest rates unchanged. Its words, however, show the Fed remains vigilant against inflation, ready to mop up excess liquidity in the US financial system.
