This afternoon in the Brisbane division of the Federal Court, Justice Jeffrey Spender delivered his judgment in the case of Haneef v Minister for Immigration and Citizenship. Depending on your point of view, it was either an egg in the face for the Government and Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews, or an indictment of nit-picking legal process.
