What happened to the Crikey site? Where are the Crikey stories? Is this a sign of the apocalypse?
The short story: It was time for a renovation. The new Crikey site includes the same number of Crikey original stories as it always has, but with a significant number of added extras: news, analysis and videos from the best sources around the world.
Where do I find original Crikey stories?
Crikey stories all have green headlines. So do stories from CrikeyBlogs.
How do I access JUST the Crikey stories?
Click here, it’s our special Crikey-only, no outsiders allowed page.
How do I see JUST the outside stories?
Click here, it’s our special links-only page.
I’m a Crikey Daily Mail subscriber, where can I see past editions of the email?
Once you’re logged in to the website, the “Your Daily Mail” box on the right-hand side of the site will showthe past 5 editions of Crikey.
Want to see more than that? There’s also a page where every Crikey Daily Mail edition is indexed: www.crikey.com.au/dailymail. Use this page to read your Crikey email from a month ago (you’ll just need to log in first  —  subscribers only allowed!)
How do I comment on an article?
You will need to have a Crikey website account first. Head here to sign up for one right now. It’s free and easy as pie.
However, you might have a Crikey account already. If you have an account with any of the Crikey websites, try logging in using your email address and password.
If you can’t remember your password, just click on the link for it to be emailed to you. Jump through a couple of painless hoops and you’re done.
Why would I register for my own log in for the site?
For two very good reasons.
Firstly, you need to have a Crikey account to comment on a story. As part of Crikey’s comments policy, we ask that everyone who wants to have a say, register their details. It’s just good manners. Your email will be kept strictly confidential.
Secondly, if you’re a Crikey Daily Mail subscriber, it will give you access to your past week of Daily Mail emails via the website (in case you’ve missed a day or two). And every story published in the Crikey Daily Mail is also accessible to subscribers via the website.
I’m lost, how do I get back to the Crikey home page?
Simply click on the Crikey logo in the top centre of any page. Or the home link in the top left-hand corner of any page. Or here.
Where can I see the Video of the Day?
All our videos are now on our — yes, finally — Video page. If you only want to see Video of the Day videos, they’re here in a special column all of their own.
Where are Guy Rundle’s stories?
Rundle’s stories can be found in his column. In fact our columns are a treasure trove of Crikey articles: Crossing the Floor with Bernard Keane, Lowbottom High Diaries, Mungo MacCallum and the Weekly Wankley Awards and more. Explore now.
How do I search for articles?
Simply type your request into the search box on the right-hand side of the screen (as per the image below). This will give you results from the entire Crikey archive (from 2000) as well as related stories from other sources.
I would love to see a new feature on the website. Who should I suggest it to?
You can send any thoughts to boss@crikey.com.au or the web editor: jnethercote@crikey.com.au.
Where do I tip off Crikey?
Write your whistleblowing story via this page and click send. Alternatively, send an email to offtherecord@crikey.com.au. Your identity will be protected throughout this process — even Crikey staff won’t be able to see your email address details.
