Remember back in 2006, when boned was the word on everybody’s lips (even on a few t-shirts)? It wasn’t exactly a banner year for women in commercial television, with the threatened 'boning' of Jessica Rowe, then Naomi Robson and Tracey Spicer getting the flick in a matter of months.

And now an anonymous TV insider has written Boned (RRP $32.95), a "wickedly entertaining novel that blows the lid off the world of network television” – the world we all got a glimpse of when Crikey published that now infamous Llewellyn affidavit.

Boned takes you so far inside the world of Australian commercial TV you’ll feel like an insider yourself - and it gets pretty dirty back there.
