Fairly safe Liberal, 8.9% (post-redistribution).
Outer suburban: north-western Brisbane, including such suburbs as Lawnton, Strathpine, Albany Creek and Everton Hills, plus a large semi-rural component based on Esk.
Member: Hon. Peter Dutton (born 1970), since 2001.
This former marginal, once held by Cheryl Kernot, now looks fairly secure for the Liberals. Dutton has been helped a little by the redistribution, but the Rudd factor could cause an upset.
