Neither koalas not the Barrier Reef have price tags attached - apparently this is interpreted to mean they are worthless.
No wonder koalas are prone to relieving themselves on politicians seeking photo opportunities.
correction: ’ Neither koalas nor the Barrier Reef…’
Thank you Ronald for expressing so eloquently what I have been thinking for so long…….
*Ashamed to be a human*
There is a whole armed family in NSW with their own political party that want to help by promoting hitchhiking, backpacking and hunting in the local forests, and that funny squawking prostate wants to help young women learn the benefits of home making and child rearing at sea, and teach them about the evils of an education or having an opinion.
Our prime monster wants all those sinners who believe in climate change to repent on the altar of big gas and oil and say how sorry we are for blaming them for the perfectly naturally occurring disasters like the exxon valdez & water table damage from fracking. The Blue/Green Cheilinus is right.
What a truly delightful combination of teal and turquoise. I’m off to Spotlight just this minute and I’ll be wearing Chelinus undulates next time I’m spotted at the Caloundra Turf Club. I so agree my dear Doggie - everything sounds better in French - te. baiser. tout!
Better watch out Humpy, our Minister against the Environment doesn’t like fruity language. He gets quite offended even at ‘cr@p’.
I’m sure he’d quite like to see you silenced so he’ll sit idly by as your reef is bleached and the ocean warmed forcing you south where you can be sucked up into a dredge making a nice coal port.
Great timing, FD. I was feeling quite iwrassible.
In keeping with this power-point presentation you could have made Price an honorary chocolate starfish for the occasion?
(And not all of us are human)
So that’s where Jasper went when reincarnated after political death. Wrasseling Toady’s mustelids suits him.
Why isn’t this a major issue? Politicians everywhere slip into places for their own gain, to the detriment of the environment and general public as a matter of course. A major example, Monsanto - the ones hell-bent on controlling the world’s food bank and chemical dependency have representatives in the US government, passing bills in their favour. This control they seek is in the name of greed and solitary power, not for the benefit or improvement or evolution of mankind - This attitude should be against all principals of governance and stewardship. The system of governments everywhere is wrong. Those who seek control power and sole rights over things are smart enough to align themselves with, influence or become the governing power to serve their ends. The only reason the masses let them get away with it is because deep inside a lot of people’s hearts they are maligned with the same sickness - that if they had a chance or the intelligence to do what they have done, they would do it also. As long as that same wanton thought is lingering in the heart, that they too could become that greedy fat overindulgent billionaire, those people are not prepared to stand up and demand something different. So, I am with the fish, it’s not just those in power who are the problem, it is every one of us who puts up with it.
I thought Nambour was a republic.
And after they screw it up, it’s left to the tax-payer to wipe it up.
…and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth … except the creeping things of the NSW Right because lo, they are an abomination in the sight of the Lord.
“How is it that people who stand to benefit from screwing the environment, get put in charge of protecting the environment from being screwed?”
Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil.
I refuse to start a relationship with anybody named Eddie. I refuse to swim in the water, and I will not eat octopus. We all have to make sacrifices, don’t we.
These e-il vested interest cretins get ushered into these positions with a tick of the box, a flick of the wrist and a “hshake”.
Great work Dog.
Yes, the French Letters make a nice change.
But there are lots of wrasse who make a living chewing up coral reefs and expelling it out the sphincter at the other end as coral sand. Some of them may be called Eddie.
Ronald should declare the potential conflict of interest.
I know it’s hardly compensation but wherever we’re all going, Ronald and his like will beat us there, and not have to share our lingering dreary drab kismet - as we turn on each other (failing to live within our sustainable means and the planet’s carrying capacity) - that will be all the poorer for our “facilitating” their passing.
We might need a spanish iniquistion on this one. No one expects the SI; our main weapons are fear, surprise and a fanatical devotion to the pope, and oil, and gas, and tobacco, and fracking, and devaluing humanity, and disrespecting anything we don’t understand.
Quite correct, and let’s not forget the immediate past Foreign Minister and his work for the Holey Dollar.
MIKE JONES: Dugong it, I was feeling iwrassable too.
ODE TO A RABBIT STEW
Soles, on the whole do it,
Sea Snakes in a hole do it.
Gossip has it that…..
Toads without means do it.
Even tramps in their dreams do it.
Move over Pyne Gap…..
Some say that wise old clams do it.
The Rabbott and some rams do it-
(not together I hope.)
Fish in our dams dream it
Koalas, even mice deem it.
Time to move on fellas..
The rain in our drains means it-
Kids, on their bikes scream it.
Take a hint you arseholes!
It’s too late now to review it
Times up Libs; you’ve screwed it.
History will say..
Tony Rabbott and his pals blew it,
Murdoch, and his minions knew it.
Tough talk for a protogynous hermaphrodite. Which means, folks, that Ronald is quite likely to have been called Ronalda in the not too distant past. Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That.
Right on Ronald!
May you and your rellies sphincter-squirt coral sand** into the breathing apparatus of as many benighted LNP PUP et al. pollies as possible in the near future!
I imagine you’ll get a few opportunities, as ‘government-businness-realted’ visits from the aforementioned to the Over-Fertilised-Golf-Course-Come-Dinosaur-Park, are likely to increase next year.
Should be some opportunities to get ‘em during the pre-Pimms snorkeling sessions. You have our blessing and encouragement!
** Thanks to I-Bang-On #17
‘government-businness-realted’ = ‘government-businness-related’
He believes in a big man in the sky that no one can see, but does not believe in the photochemical smog, smoke and putrid waterways that everyone else can see.
Thank you First; put sucinctly in 6 panels. The environment of this world is doomed by those who believe exploiting it for money is the solution to all its (their) problems.
As Russel Brand says so eloquently on Youtube “Revolution NOW!”
Terra Nihilius perhaps?
Hey, can I get this on a poster, or a fridge magnet. Hope to see Ronald more often.
I wouldn’t call Mr Humphead-Wrasse “foul mouthed”, or even “iwrassible”, in fact I think his piece here is if anything an understatement. This whole $hitfight has been going on for years, decades even, and it’s only getting worse, and it makes as good as no difference at all whether the Noalition or the Alternative Liberal Party are sat at the top table at state or federal level.
Frame 4 “And surprisingly they have downgraded the EIS’s” - unless this is ironising there’s no surprise at all. Big business, the development lobby and their patsies in state and federal govt have been doing this for decades. For example, while there is merit in NSW ICAC taking Obeid, Costa, Roozendal et al to task, if NSW Inc and their multinational overlords were *really* interested in the public weal they’d have had all the big developers and all the big mining and forestry conglomerates (not to mention State Forests NSW for aiding and abetting) up before the Commissioner years ago. But that isn’t what Macquarie St wants, much less the hand up its jacksie.
Frame 5 “How is it…etc” Assuming this isn’t you doing your ironing again Mr First Dog, the answer is simple - because the very very very last thing those whose profits depend on completely borking everyone’s natural heritage in pursuit of a quid or two want is anyone who has the merest suggestion of an inkling that what is being done to what remains of a unique ecological assemblage is Not All That Great Really in a position of even the slightest influence. If you want proof, there is plenty of it: as an example, see Sydney’s Cumberland Plain vegetation and fauna habitats from about 1990 on. Nothing, but nothing (even listing vegetation communities as “Critically Endangered [as per IUCN guidelines]) even slows the rate of annihilation.
PS Thank you Mr First Dog and the Dogonauts for indulging my rant, I am but an embittered greenie and ex-ecologist who gets a bit upset about how ready and eager the majority of Australians are to phucque things up.
fractious. Well said. This.
