		<description>One author (ex-navy) says killing at a distance with drones would avoid PTSD. It does not. The American experience with drone pilots is that they are also at significant risk of PTSD as they see the effects of their decisions and actions. I suspect that one reason PTSD seems more frequent in the wars of recent decades  than in past wars  is that now, those shooting can see that their shot killed, whereas historically groups of soldiers fired volleys and it could have been anyone&#039;s bullet.</description>
