What I find interesting, aside from the changing proportion of male/female SES and EL in the Aust Public Service over the past 10 years, is the growth in overall numbers of the &quot;fat cats&quot;. In 2003 we had 1,731 SES whereas in 2012 this had risen to 2,786. In 2003 we had 23,361 executive level managers compared to 42,069 in 2012. A case of too many chiefs and not enough indians?  What do they all do for goodness sake?</description>
