So there’s some reason why this bad article about nobody was worth another article saying how bad it was? Not much news around clearly. And yes I’m totally sure they are all incredibly ‘embarrased’ about the chore of writing about women’s attributes. Yeah, I’m convinced.

Misogyny is well and truly alive - if anyone used that excuse for writing racist pieces or pieces advocating violent Jihad it wouldn’t get them far.
But seems like casual sexism is fine if you need to pay your bills.

Possibly because writing about Megan Fox does slightly less damage then blowing yourself up on a crowded train.

Just what I was thinking.
The womens mags seem to be just as fawning - if not worse (I only read them in the docs waiting room - honestly). I love the way that one week “so-and-so” is being praised for her after baby bod, and the next week the same person is being accused of having an eating disorder. At least FHM won’t run that strategy.

Does anybody ask the women who appear in these magazines how they feel about their jobs? Do they like / hate it? If they feel oppressed or ogled at why not get work elsewhere? Maybe some actually like it, is the money good?

Nice article - I’ve often wondered why they even bother with the “interviews” accompanying the pics of the bikini-clad hotties in such mags. Occasionally they succeed in making them funny but usually they’re pointless puff-pieces.

Incidentally, perving at pretty ladies is a long, long way from misogyny.
