Gillard was/is never going to win the next election. The Coalitions’s dirt-throwing campaign has just made this fact more likely. As you say, it will probably continue.
There is only one person who can win the election for the Labor Party, Kevin Rudd, but the party would rather lose office than admit it. They deserve all they get, but we don’t!
I will “abstain” from voting while the current situation persists.

It looks like the smear campaign has achieved its objectives. I expect to see much more sf the same in 2013. After all, the tactic works and it has the benefit of requiring little or no evidence. Just throw mud, some of it sticks.
