Doug Cameron v Malcolm Tucker

Doug Cameron may not be as filthy-mouthed as the great Malcolm Tucker, but could he possibly be channelling some of Tucker’s vibes?

What is the point of the comparison? I think the comparison is best seen as an insult to Doug Cameron. I know it’s some TV series where it seems the is a great need to illustrate the great Malcolm “f*cknuckle” Tucker has learned use of the word “f*ck”. The filmclip would have taken on a better meaning if someone at the end had shoved a large d*ldo into Malcolms f*cking mouth, and said now beep beep you b*stard!

I concur with Bill Hilliger (above). There is no valid comparison.

Regardless of that, it’s a pleasure to hear Doug Cameron straight talking. So unlike most MPs. It was great TV seeing him grill Alan Joyce at the Senate hearing last month - far more entertaining than the fabricated Malcolm Tucker inserts here.

And Cameron gets another shot at Joyce sometime in the New Year, stay tuned!

    Gotta agree with Bill.
Two good performers though - Doug Cameron telling it how it is, and Malcolm Tucker, well, what more needs to be said? Brilliant character work by Peter Capaldi.

I wonder how much support Doug has got in the party though? How many other ALP members feel like this? Not many, I fear.

Had a great time watching another ep’ of Bastard Boys on ABC 1 last night. Sigh. Where are the warriors now?

Where can we view the whole of Cameron’s speech - if only Swan could show that sort of passion?

What an insult to Cameron! He can deliver an effective speech without bad language. Silly comparison.Take it down! With an apology.

Every time Cameron opens his mouth, Labor loses a thousand votes. To hear him talk about “branch stacking” and people spending all their time “just getting the numbers” is the ultimate in hypocrisy. On the talent scale he rates about a minus 60 and yet he has one of the great sinecures. The insult is to Tucker, whoever he is.

It’s a shame that Jamie never came back for the third season of The Thick Of It, he had even better lines than Malcolm.

    FFS …. both straight talkers.

One, principled and passionate old school Labor
T’other, venal, amoral new Labor spin doctor

Oh, they both have Scots accents! Puerile comparison - or is merely being Scottish enough?

The only thing they have in common is a similar accent.

We need Doug as PM, at least he can argue against the Liberal/Tory rent seekers, instead of pandering to their loopy agenda like our current PM does.

Why the hell vote Labor when we get Liberal policies like “Let’s torture refugees” and “I’m going to have a surplus even when the world situation demands more spending” or at least let’s not cut back on spending drastically when the rest of the developed world is in recession and we are not.

I mean our Julia is going to create a recession here because of her commitment to a dumb promise to balance the budget quickly. She was too stupid to argue the balanced budget fetish down at the time and now she will pay for it. Worse still she is making Australians pay for her dumb promises. She could have not promised a balance budget and still balanced it just as well yet retain the flexibility to take a different tac if things changed, which they have.

Our current PM is a moron.

To add to Zarathrusta - “Our current PM is a moron.”

Me thinks more applicable to mother country - Camoron

Labor = no b*lls - the boys behind won’t put theirs on the line.

Noalition - just receded - normal condition when in the cold and wilderness.
