Seeger and Guthrie in Occupy hoedown

If they didn’t come for the protest or the politics, perhaps they came for the music. On the weekend, folk legends Pete Seeger (now 92) and Arlo Guthrie performed a rousing rendition of This Little Light before marching 30 blocks to Columbus Circle.

Oh dear. That made this tired old ageing hippy weep like a baby.
    Bless you Pete. :-)

Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Nice to see a new generation is willing to let the world see their little light shining brightly. Rather than accept things meekly. I too feel there maybe hope for the future.

Pete Seeger at 92- what an inspiration.

Meanwhile, back in dingy Melbourne, our sour Mayor sends in police dogs to break up our peaceful demonstration.

I am surprised that this Mayor is in power in melbourne. I have always found Melbournians to be educated, cultured and refined people with a strong human rights ethos. This guy is coarse, uneducated, and seems to have refined a culture of bullying.
Vote him out good Melbournians in fact go demonstrate and demand that he resign right now!
