    Thanks, my curiosity has been satisfied. I never want to hear this song again, although they will probably be playing it continually at the gym I go to in a month or two …

    I knew that to win the song and costumes needed to be suitably kitsch but I thought they were usually required to hit the notes. This was horribly flat in parts.

    Why did they have to sing with an American accent?

    Everything is so standardised, they all look like an ad for toothpaste or hair. For God’s sake where, oh where, are the individuals in show biz? Where the character, the sense of uniqueness, the knowledge that what one has to give is of value? I give up.
