Sarah Palin goes to a tea party

Sarah Palin goes rogue at the first ever Tea Party National Convention (and all for the low, low price of $100,000!). Is she gearing up for a presidential run in 2012? Did the crib notes help? Have the lunatics finally taken over the asylum in the U-S-of-A? Is First Dude Todd really pulling all the strings? And why can’t Levi Johnston keep his clothes on?

Don’t underestimate Palin, nor her appeal to a majority of the American people. As non-Americans, we ought to be scared, very scared.

The lesson is appreciated… the hypocrisy is staggering.

As for ‘democracy’, Bush’s Patriot act put an end to The Constitution & The Bill of Rights… and the removal of limits to political donations was the final nail.

The question is, will Australia be next, are we going to let the situation in Oz get worse, or are we going to demand referendums (which work well in Switzerland) to stop privatizations, and the swapping of less tax, which benefit a minority, for cutbacks to services, that disadvantage the majority?

@Beam, Obama’s decision to reject campaign financing limits (in direct contravention of his previous promise to do so) and his campaign’s decision to disable software able to determine the location of donors (US Law prevents the acceptance of foreign donations to Presidential Campaigns) to allow him to receive money from anywhere in the world, suggests that when it come to political donations, Obama and the Democrats were significantly worse than the McCain campaign (who abided by the law).

You may continue to blame Bush for all the world’s ills however sooner or later you and other Obama supporters will have to recognise that your hero has feet of clay.

Barry is not the messiah, just another politician, doing whatever is expedient to stay in power.
