Good work Guy. One slight quibble though.

I think Massachusetts had a special state senate vote to allow a replacement for Ted Kennedy until the special run off in January for the proper replacement.
Paul Kirk Jnr was tapped to fill the vacancy and part of the deal is he is not allowed to take part in the run off.

As Jay Gould (19thC railway robber baron) said, "I can always get enough of the working class to oppress the rest of my behalf". Modern version is the "honest congressman", ie one who stays bought.

I trawled some US websites over the weekend and found nothing so succinct or thorough about the bill and its chances in the Senate.

Good post Guy.
