We dumped a mendacious, meretricious mediocrity of a PM and his toadies to annoint a bloodless bureaucrat and his seat warming, morally myopic apparatchiks - why be surprised by the (non) change?

Does Mr Rudd read Cricky? I hope so!

But how do you inspire an adminstrator to be innovative and daring? How do you inspire a man who says good sounding things, to actually put those noble words into action? How do you get past the big companies that donate so generously to Labor and Liberal but then expect to be calling the tune? (He who pays the piper....)

I think Copenhagen will fail to reach agreement - because I don't think Rudd is the only leader like this. It is a disease eating away in the world's wealthy deomcracies.

I see the world moving into more and more extremes of climate, and greater disasters. And I think there is nobody out there with real power, who has the balls to do anything about it.

(I really want to be proven wrong on this.)
