I have been wondering if Maxine Mckew really exists. She doesn't say anything, she isn't seen anywhere. What does she do? Is she away on sick leave or something?

Venise, more people behaving like good Catholics might be nice - charitable, humble, loving each other. More people behaving like rapey capitalistic ignorant Catholics is the problem.

Q & A:

I suspect Maxine McKew is just another Catholic. On a previous Q&A she was asked about her stance on euthanasia. Out came the dreary Catholic rejoinder "It's too complicated to go into. Too many legal problems". She made shooing gestures with her hands. Last night she was waffling on about Oz being a big country-how many Westerns have we seen saying the same thing? And virtually, bugger the amount of people in the cities, we, we poor sods, will overcome. Quite frankly, the world has grown up a bit these past few years, and outmoded shibboleths don't cut it any more. Not with the non-Catholics anyway

BTW: I've noticed there's a bit of a push on against the Atheists by the Catholics. Something to keep an eye on.

David Marr made fat Joe Hockey look as if he was standing in a hole. And dear fat Joe is going to give some speeches on his kind of god. Oh god, he will be another Catholic. So blo-dy predictable. Also he's trying to do a Kevin Rudd, who did the same thing. Kevin Rudd, another Catholic! Sure he's changed his religion, but not his spots.

David Marr made a good point about religious politicians namely, Australians never go near a church but they tend to admire a politician who has found god.
It was neat, in that it allowed him to distract everyone from the real issue of too many religious-mainly Catholic meddlers in a secular society.

No I do not hate Catholics. I just hate the way they interfere in public life and try to make the electorate behave the way good little Catholics do.

So much in where you put the apostrophe: Christopher Pyne's[1] nuts vs Christopher's Pyne nuts.

[1] Actually this one is good for possessive and contractive, much as I don't really want to think about contracting nuts.

[I spent a lot of time thinking about this apostrophe]

Q & A:
Maxine McKew waffles. (First One: Special Guest appearance as Rudd's lap dog?)
Graeme Richardson tough cookies. Indigestives?
Kevin Rudd Indonesia solution.
David Marr aromatics. Spicy but not enough to camouflage the smell of the Indonesia solution going up in flames.

First Dog: :) :) :) Another piece of raving genius! :) :) :)

:) Damn, I've got two magpies serenading me. :)

So many delicious things. Chrissy Pyne's nuts, of course but I loved Joe Hockey's croquembouche in-a-can. Such a mouthful! But I wouldn't try rolling in it.
