What vicious, vindictive, violent Bastard of an omnipitent being doesn't even have the basic Human decency to exist? Is what I want to know.

I'll leave it then. But I have a small, easily amused mind, and I do find it funny that a nonreligious person can be needled about nonreligion just as easily as a religious person can be.
OK, I'm done, no more ... Friends?

Forgive me for getting off the track, but if the deluded belief in God marks an mind beyond rational discourse, and if antitheism is active opposition to the belief in God, rather than mere disbelief ... isn't that a bit of a hopeless cause? Unless of course one uses the Krushchev option, classify religion as a mental disease and impose involuntary treatment

JamesMc - hardly. A 'theist' is a god botherer. All religions can't be correct but they can all be B/S. Anyone so self deluded is beyond rational discourese.

An antitheist? You're opposed to God? That's either a very uneven match or no match at all, isn't it?

I find it hard to understand why anyone would read, never mind buy. the Daily Terrible or any iother News Crap. Except that in Sydney the SMH is little more than a throwaway, lifestyle rag.
Thank the gods for the ABC and, given that I'm antitheist, CRIKEY. And that net thingy.

If the person concerned was a Smith, Brown or Jones, would this have happened? No.

Was the article an overstatement? Yes.

Are the Tele and the Sunday Tele repeat offenders? Yes.

Who cares? Ms Keating was placed in a no-win situation where, regardless of her actions, the accusations would be made - right or wrong - in a bid to sell papers. Not to bring the news to the readers - to sell papers.

PS I never, ever, but a sunday paper. They are essentially a repeat of the saturday version.

Perhaps Newsltd. should ask Pauline Hanson about fabricated stories or Godwin Grech about fabricated emails.

They are tiresome trolls aren't they?

Whatever actually happened, I've seen enough brat behaviour from news photographers--who never have any problem getting their side of the story in the papers--to take off my hat to anyone who can piss one of them off enough to result in that Tele story. The lady shows spirit.

God help us given so many serious matters these days. Against my better judgement:

In general media terms the picture trumps the text. So being a flattering image IMHO socialite daughter #1 might be relieved about that (?). As for the alleged temper tantrum it would be unwise to comment and possibly illegal without even getting to statutory tort of privacy.

Suffice to say one does recall a brother and a certain legal case. Which I hasten to add is equivocal and might feed a set up scenario too.

As for Big Media intrusiveness - it's not just rich folks who would benefit if an offence was wisely drawn up with a sensible cap. After News ran those bogus interventions in the Qld election with images of HansonNot, they can't really argue their RTK book on personal privacy issues with much cred, though they are still strong on the Kessing/ security/politics side of RTK.

Socialite daughter #1 might best be served by a big does of pragmatism absent such a privacy law. Certainly vodka and arguments don't mix.
