Ooh, thanks Venise, that's really sweet of you. :):)

I will have to give you another Small Achievement Award for your gracious apology here!

FDOTM, is it okay if I give out these awards? It's a bit presumptuous of me, really. He invented them. Look, let's pretend I've got a fascinator, and I'm the bint with the envelope who gets to read out the winner's name. Ooh, that's so much fun, I didn't realise how much fun it could be! Now I really is taking da pees ... out of me especially. ;)

Robbie: Ouch, my paranoia is showing! After I'd posted it it did register that I'd got it wrong. I feel frightful and I apologise.

I hope your car wheels instantly turn round again. :) :) :)

Cheers

Thank you too Venise.

My compliment to you was sincerely meant. You cared enough to post about a problem that many people obviously experience. I do not have this problem, but I cared enough about your feelings that I could see that this was kind behaviour.

So I complimented you too, when I realised that I had initially left you out.

I am sorry if I came across sarcastically because I did not mean you any hurt.

I nurtured four baby magpies today by putting out water and throwing some cheese and bread. And I removed the ratsack after noting an entire candle had been chewed. Until tonight I felt useless but now I'm feeling a bit different. Thank you FD for highlighting small things make a difference. XXXXX 00000

OK... so here it is.

http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4aeea95802646a84273fc0a87e0106e2/Product/View/E8102

The brand is 'extreme for mobile' and the product is called 'screenguard'.

I have a couple of confessions. The first is that she didn't use it on an iphone (owning to the fact that she does not own one), but of course as long as you're willing to cut it to the right size you can use it on whatever phone you've got.

The other is that she has just told me that she did get a couple of air bubbles after all! So sorry for misleading you all. So no guarantees... but I will say that the result was still miles ahead of the brand that she originally tried, which was horrible.

Good luck.

And Venise too. You deserve a nomination as well.

Gosh, we may have to have judging now. I would guess, though, that Small Achievement Awards do not have to struggled over?

Then there was one someone demoed here by trying to scratch with a key, unsuccessfully.

I'm always impressed by people who continue on in spite of EVERYTHING. Or, as my grandfather always used to put it, who "battle on regardless." *

My partner has actually achieved the last panel! Apparently the secret is in buying the right brand of screen protector. She battled with one particular brand, failed repeatedly, then gave up in disgust and tried a new brand which went on flawlessly. I admit it's still fiddly, though.

My small achievement today was to make my own lunch instead of buying it. Yes I was pleased, but this small achievement shall have to go unrecognised by the Small Achievement Award. Ah well. I shall battle on regardless. :)

* I would like to nominate this for the Small Memories That Make You Smile For No Adequately Explained Reason Award.

BECKCHANOCK: I've just discovered something to clean glasses, which I've been toying with the idea of using on my ¡phone-in order to fit membrane over screen. They're called Clear Wipe and they come in individual pkts. I think I can smell acetone in it. They say it's ok for ord mobile phones. It cleans my magnifiers the best they ever been done.

Very whimsical, FD. Very charming. Most apposite.

This was delightful and true and believable until the last frame. No one can put the protector on the iphone without making bubbles. The rest of it made me wish I worked in an office...so many opportunities for martyrdom.
