Simon Benson sounds like the name of a Private School bully, and he appears to be using the bully pulpit of The Daily Telegraph to act like one too.

The Daily Telegraph doesn't get it - since the global financial crisis their ideological anti government rhetoric doesn't really cut it anymore, let alone The Australian extreme right brains trust (and to think they were all in the one place at old Frank Devine's wake).

Poor Simo at the SDT has forged his career on the haughty condescension of the Right and it's taken him a good 12 months of denial to figure out Iemma is no longer premier.

Same with the ALP Right with their Port expansion and toll road expansion ideology. Of course they will whine and complain about it as loud as they can from their shrinking empire now web 2.0 is delivering the audience in masses to .... the ABC, and maybe a bit more here. The fact is News Corp just don't scare politicians or their caucus that much anymore.

Game over Rupert.
