Very interesting - is that rumor or something the network is seriously discussing? If it's for real, then I have to agree that Nine have no idea what they are buying. The trio who present the real thing are experts - both in their knowledge of the history of the cars but also, and arguably more importantly, in their driving of them. There aren't many people around with their skills sets - and that's what makes the program (in the opinion of many) the best TV show we've ever seen. @Jill

If it’s for real, then I have to agree that Nine have no idea what they are buying. The trio who present the real thing are experts - both in their knowledge of the history of the cars but also, and arguably more importantly, in their driving of them. There aren’t many people around with their skills sets - and that’s what makes the program (in the opinion of many) the best TV show we’ve ever seen.

Will watch the UK version on Channel 9 once or twice until the advertising content really gives me the irrits & then will get a lesson off the boys in the office on downloading content from the web (which I have valiantly resisted until now). As for the idea of an Oz version presented by Shane Warne - forget it - you can't tell me that he can talk intelligently about cars - quick straw poll round my office - the boys (once again target demographic) agree This could be a costly waste of time because Nine surprise.. surprise... have not done their homework yet again AS a female in the 16-49 demographic and a really unlikely Top Gear enthusiast - I’ll add my two bobs worth.
