I didn't say a higher level- just a new one. And so it was that the sadness of farewelling one of my all-time favourite characters, Brendon Nelson's hair, was offset somewhat today by the comforting debut of Stephen Smith and Brindha. That said, First Dog's 'Kyoto Protocols 1 & 2' still adorn my office wall as the all-time classics they are. Brendan (and his hair) gone but not forgotten. The line about Therese packing the boogie board still cracks me up in those quieter moments of reflection. As for Kevin Rudd's cat, I'm certain there's a radio contract out there waiting for him to pick up where Mike Carlton left off.
