Respect? Why? Surely your belief is only entitled to respect if it makes any sense at all? Would I be asked to "respect your choice to believe" in the tooth fairy, Harry Potter or little green men in spaceships? As an adult, isn't it in fact DISRESPECTFUL of me to pretend to think that your invisible friend is real? If the evidence overwhelming shows that your belief is, not to put too fine a point on it, just silly, what sort of respect do you want, exactly?
