You know that tax will increase the cost of their transactions. It won’t cost them a bit. That increased cost will only be passed on to the poor through higher fees and services.

Justin Templar, I haven’t bothered to go back and read (again) the article about teaching swimming to Asians. I know for sure that I responded in the opposite direction from you.
I’m sure the article did not suggest that “these skills” might mitigate the danger of being hit by something - in fact I’m sure it only claimed that people who found themselves in shallow water with only a short distance to get to safety could be saved by knowing how to float and maybe breast stroke to safety. I didn’t find any “poor taste”, any hilarity or any silliness and I’m positive that none was intended.
Perhaps you should read the article (a bit more carefully) again?
