His habit of trying to make eye contact with every journo in the pack made him look shifty, and added to the negative campaign and a lack of clear values on social justice, he looked out of his depth. His attempt to neuter the factions by creating his own circle of cronies backfired spectacularly, and he has left the party crippled and unelectable. By pulling the pin mid-term, Carps has only cemented the perception that he puts himself ahead of his party. I was always surprised how bad Carps looked in front of camera.

She hasn't the guts to stand up to the weak insipid current Labor leader inWA , instead running away to seek a fed seat. Frankly she does nothing for her credibility and I doubt the electorate will send her to Canberra because of her spineless retreat. Just when the WA Labor party needs someone with her credentials and 'loyalty' she does a runner. What a slack arse defeatist she turns out to be.
