Is MPM actually Tim Blair? Or maybe Joe Hildebrand?

.................

Anyway Rudd's waffle in a PR set piece to a bunch of students was grotesque hypocrisy from the king of coal and the wimp of woodchipping as per my comment on the Rooted blog, and spot on by John Hepburn as he often is.

Boy I would love to see Noam Chomsky take this prissy chancer apart.

Most Peculiar Mama

I suggest you reserve your judgement about Rudd. And don't kid me you don't what the quote means metaphorically.

"...But I suppose the ancient truth applies: “A prophet is not without honour, except in his own country.”

Kevin Rudd a "prophet".

That's the best Friday Funny I've read in like FOREVER.

So what does that make Barack Obama?

Try being a little less pessimistic Bernard. Kevin Rudd is having a major influence in the US and a couple of hours ago his advocacy for the G20 as the prime forum for global governance was rewarded when the group agreed it will become the top economic forum.

His ideas for a regional ‘Asia Pacific community’ are gathering momentum. Greg Sheridan, in this morning’s Australian in “Grand vision, sound strategy”, applauds Rudd’s efforts and regards his G20 ideas as compatible with his regional concepts.

It’s fashionable to knock Rudd’s many ideas, but why not wait a while before making a judgement. He just might be right. He’s too smart and knowledgeable to second guess. But I suppose the ancient truth applies: “A prophet is not without honour, except in his own country."

Graeme Lewis, the same comments apply to you.

"...Brad Norington brings to his coverage of the Obama Administration all the objectivity he showed in his coverage of industrial relations here..."

Unlike say the impartial and completely bipartisan Stephanie Balogh, Anne Davies or Bruce Wolpe.

Pffft.

As he strides the "world stage" our meeja appear to have re-discovered their dewy-eyed love affair with "Ravishing" Kevin Rude yet refuse to pose even the simplest of questions to him:

If the December LegoLand conference is so IMPORTANT and so PIVOTAL to the formation of a UNITED and GLOBAL "WAY FORWARD" in "COMBATING" "IRREVERSIBLE CLIMATE CHANGE" why is the Ravishing One so desperate to have parliament in Australia reach a unanimous agreement on an (economically crippling) Australian ETS BEFORE the bureaucratic love-in in Copenhagen?

Too tough?

It seems the European media must think that Kevin Rudd has something of value to say about the global financial crisis. In the last few days I have seen extensive interviews with him screened in Poland and Germany on CNN and BBC.

Yes - gradually our Kev747 is being shown up for what he is - a wordsmith who thinks little or nothing about what the words mean or when they might turn into action.
