Glenn you should do some research on the tonights show i.e. River Cottage Spring on ABC1 at 6.10 with 44 year old (great if 44 is still young) Chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, he has done lots of these River Cottage shows and they have been shown on Foxtel for years. I have seen heaps of his shows they are very good, more then just a cooking show, but I have never seen him with a BEARD just a scruffy hair style. I rate it better then the cook a a chef that ABC used to show.

I also think the Paul Hogan show was great bit of nostalga just wish he had said a bit more as the host.

Maybe it wasn't the adulterous act itself that caused the downturn in PttR viewers (how can something happening in the very last scene cause a loss of viewers, anyway?). Rather, it might have been the philosophy espoused on several occasions in the voiceover narration that continued to insist 'fantasies are OK, it's only if you act on them that it's a problem'. That would have grated with the significant fraction of the audience who would have been reminded of Matthew 5:28.

Glenn

I saw the foreign correspondant and while I agree that the US story is begging to be told I was rapt by the Iceland stuff as it appears they were at the stage where the criminal investigations were starting. I found it interesting how the authorities were/weren't addressing this. If the economic experts are wrong again and the recovery is bull, then that is where we are headed.

I didn't see it but did crikey do anything about the emmy's?
