John Howard's old buddy Geoff Cousins isn't exactly a Greens member, is he? But on some issues he is very green. There were conservative Liberals who opposed WorkChoices because it involved increased power to the Commonwealth at the expense of the States.
In safe ALP branches in safe Labor seats, you'll find ALP members who are more right wing in their economics than even most Liberals.

Can you understand my point? It's about nuance.

The branch meetings must be hilarious. How about some fly -on-the-wall stories from them, Irfan?

There are people with commo, green and unionist sympathies. But a fair few are in local Liberal branches.

So the seat of Bradfield is blue ribbon Liberal. No Labor candidate. No commos, no greens, no skinheads, no National party, no ferals, no poor, no homeless, just millionaires and Christians, doing the job they were born to do.
How come then " they more greatly reflect the range of opinion in the broader community "?

I misspelt the surname of the former Member for Bradfield. It is "Connolly", not Connelly".
