Apple computers success at product placement always left me a little gob-smacked. Here was a piece of hardware that only 6% of the world’s population ever used, but we never saw anyone in a movie or tv show ever use anything else. And
just lately I’ve seen Bernie Madoff filmed working on an Apple powerbook, and now Dennis Ferguson going about his “business” on an iMac!

No way will I be joining the queue outside Apple’s superstore on George St.

Stranger Danger, whether for children or women in general, has always been utterly bogus. Like hoimicide, the victim is known to the perpetrator in over 70% of cases.

I have no specific knowledge of whether there was an epidemic of cops fabricating sexual assault allegations in Queensland in the ‘80’s but not much would surprise me about the Queensland police of that era.

That said, I understood Ferguson’s conviction was for abducting three children and molesting them in a motel room. I’d have thought this would be substantially harder to fabricate than an allegation that may have occurred in the home of a family member.

Or maybe I’ve read too much dodgy journalism on this one.

Saddest part is so much attention is being focused on Ferguson - how many other paedo’s are there out there living right next door, down the street, your uncle, your grandad.

It’s not just the slimy weirdo’s who do it.
