But commercially, he failed, completely. Compass II under different owners failed in half the time with one quarter the capital because Doug Reid stole most of it and did time for his crimes, making Grey's namesake the only new start carrier I know of to fail because of criminal fraud. Maybe Jetstar is also there to create a new business model and will eventually be rebadged as Qantas after it has taken on the Qantas core business with a lower cost base. My recollection was that Compass was years before Virgin, Branson et al . I know it's Virgin's propaganda that they are responsible for all changes in travel but I expect better from you.
