When asked on Sunday TV who supported his (Turnbull) and his coalition stance that the Govt should wind back the stimulus and stop spending further. Malcolm the Mad diverted the question and lack of any answer to it, this was not his job to make excuses for the Govts over spending etc etc etc. same old song.
The only Opposition voice that has begrudgingly sort of agreed, the stimulus packages were a good and proper move has been Joe Hockey. It appears there isn't much love between the two, so yet another Brutus lurks in the wings. Turnbull is a spent force, the man must be so thick skinned he will do a Custer. Alas for Custer he didn't see Little Big Horn coming until it was upon him, Turnbull has been hearing the thunder of approaching hooves for months, perhaps he has a deathwish and is determined to go down, vocal chords exclaiming his lost cause till his leadership expires.

Mungo, national treasure,

I have just finished Poll Dancing (I know, a bit behind the times here). Bravo! I haven't laughed so much since First Dog first put Christopher Pyne in a Unicorn suit. Or, perhaps, since First Dog put Malcolm and Mrs Slocombe's pussy together. And to know the book had a happy ending meant I enjoyed it so much more.

Anyway, to my point (there is one). Your book should be essential reading - it's so useful. I've been having a whale of a time hypocrisy spotting while watching the TV, as I've giggled and groaned my way through the book. The Opposition (a term which suggests more unity than there will ever be amongst that load of hasbeens) carping about the allegedly inflationary effect of stimulus spending, when but two years ago, Dear Leader Howard was throwing money at anything that moved that just may be able to vote. It's breathtaking.

Keep writing - I love your work.
